Just read that; the football initiative doesn't sound like it has anything to do with their football program.

ETA: Thanks for sharing, though.

I read it too. The football initiative concerns the start up of a football program for UTPB, i.e. University of Texas Permian Basin, which is in Odessa Texas.

Saban is obviously going to be the first UTPB coach and is going to face the ultimate challenge, build a program from scratch and have them in BCS bowl game in 5 years.

I checked. There is a Walmark in Odessa. There currently is also an oil boom in Odessa.

He gone.

Ah, misread that. Yeah, that's probably where they give mack his option to resign to save face.

Page 3, Item 4 This is the agenda for the meeting, it will happen at the end of the executive session. Also, they're not planning on discussing Nick Saban or Mack Brown directly, it's about Bill Powers (the President of the university) job.

Fournette's coach comments on Saban's future on WGNO - LINK

quote:

Crutchfield said Saban was committed to the Tide.

"My conversation with Saban, I think he is firmly committed to being the next Alabama football coach," Crutchfield said.

quote:

NEW ORLEANS–Nick Saban came to town to look over a big prospect from St. Aug. We’re told Saban indicated that he intends to stay in Tuscaloosa as head coach of the Crimson Tide.

So the Tontis form the corporation in Nov 2010, buy the note from Compass Bank within a few months, demand full payment sending Saban's company into bankruptcy, then on Nov 6, 2013, the corporation was dissolved. Hmmmm

You said the Tontis are SMU people from Dallas. I don't see any connection to UT. I don't see a JR Ewing plot in 2010 to back door purchase Saban's arse to get him to UT. They own a ton of corporations and formed that one for the purpose of buying the note.

What happened to the debt? Have you checked the bankruptcy record of any new filing? Did someone or some people buy the debt from the Tontis within the past month or so? And is Saban's debt wiped clean? There's probably nothing in the bankruptcy record yet. Where else can we check?

Which roughly translated means if Bama can't pony up I am gone

Already trying to poke fun at us on the Bama board saying the agenda posted that has nothing to do with the coach is good information. Don't they know that Bill Powers is the topic

poor fans and just like the previous recruiting stories, I'm sure Saban confides in players and their coaches on his true intentions
