Alabama is also arguably one of the best coaching job in CFB. It's certainly way up there. I don't think the separation is near what some of the rest of you think.

THIS. It's mind boggling to me how people see what Saban is doing at Alabama (#1 recruiting class nearly every year, 3 of the last 4 natty titles, excellent facilities, excellent pay, excellent support, etc) and you would think Alabama isn't a Top 25 job listening to some here. What kind of bizarro world do you have to come from to believe that. Granted, Texas IS probably the best overall job when every last detail is examined but the Texas and Alabama job is much closer in prestige and quality than they are apart. It's pure butthurt delusion to think otherwise.

I think it's the opposite. On the surface, it looks like a burnt orange bucket of cow-mascot fun. But when you examine a bit closer, there are a lot of things about that job a lot of coaches would despise.

If all this is true he would have no reason to leave, no?

Turn out the lights. It's over. He gone.

And watching the Bammers here is like watching a 12 step program live. We're now seeing them go from denial to anger. We might see healthcare.Gov working properly before we see them reach the step of acceptance.

I also think he gone and it fills me with ambiguous, confusing emotions.

But having said that, leaving the SEC for the shittiest and least relevant conference in America is a bold strategy, Cotton. Let's see how it works out for them.
