Entering next year (assuming he hangs on to win today). Very impressed watching his team play. I figured he was a Michigan state level upgrade, but he might be up for some top jobs after this.

Hell seemingly get his choice between Michigan, Texas, Tennessee

OSU has Day and he's very young and he's not going anywhere.

Can’t see him being hired by Michigan. He’s been a OSU guy his entire playing and coaching career.

His choice to not run at end of last significant possession just cost his team the victory. Run another 40 sec off clock and UGA doesn’t have the chance to kick for the win...

The HC cost his team the win. No doubt about it

He made the right call. His QB executed the play poorly

Unless the QB passed when he was supposed to run, it was an idiotic call.

They also snapped with 10+ seconds left multiple times

The receiver was wide open. The QB threw the ball too late and lobbed it when he shouldn't have.

Also on the QB. Not Fickell

You guys are aware that Bo Shembeckler was from Ohio, right? Fickell wants a top Big 10 gig and OSU may not be open for a decade unless Day wants to try the NFL at some point. Franklin is very secure at PSU for a while, as well and if Fickell wouldn’t bite at the Michigan St job, then he won’t take Nebraska if Frost is fired next year. It’s likely Michigan or bust in the Big 10 for him.

The only other alternative I could see is Fickell taking the Minnesota job if some NFL team was crazy enough to hire Fleck away. He has that program in a good spot and Fickell would probably do well there. I like Fleck, but I just don’t see his style as a fit in the NFL.

Fickell wouldn't take Michigan State but would go to Minnesota ? Not at all man. Not at all.
