Right, another 3-loss season. LSU is about to fire a coach that is 7-3 this year.

Mora might've gotten canned for the U-Dub comments, but the Falcons were having their second consecutive mediocre year when he made them.

I think that guy has been waiting for a job like this to open up.

i'm a fan of kirby. he's not so high on my list though. i want an offensive minded HC paired with bebe.

I think it's harder to find a great offensive mind than defensive mind.

Todd Monken

Great name that I havent thought about. Really wanted him as our OC last go round. The rumor at the time in 2006 was Monken took a big role later on in the season with the offense (Les guy vs a guy that Miles never trusted in Jimbo) He had very good offenses at Okie State and has done well at Southern Miss. Knows the area with his time here. I like it.

there are a lot of high scoring offenses that make me think otherwise.

Real defensive talent is few and far between.

Plus I think a defensive minded coach is more willing to let his offense adapt to the times.

Also i don't think Bebe has ever been a DC. Also if Kirby was HC then Bebe could be DC still.

1 more minor note, Smart getting a HC job before Kiffin will send that frickers ego into overdrive. Saban murders him on the sideline. Bama done

So? He won the division once in his first season and finished that year with 5 losses. 3 losses every year since. I didn't realize winning the Sun Bowl and Holiday Bowl made him an obvious upgrade for LSU.

8 defenses give up under 300 yards a game

15 offenses put up 500+ a game
66 offenses Average 400+ a game
123 offenses average 300+ a game

yards are easy and cheap to come by.

Welcome to the age of the spread.
