Whew! For a minute I thought everyone was going to clamor on and on for Mawae. Thank God that didnt happen
It seems the mention of Mawae was somehow a threat to the "coony like one of us" Orgeron fans on here.

Never understood the Mawae stuff. If Orgeron doesn't know him or have any relationship with him, he shouldn't have been on the list.
He needs coaches he knows and trusts, not another Canada. That's why Cregg was a good pick.

This actually a good hire. If you look at his past he's had a lot of success in college as OL coach. I'm not sure what his recruiting is like but he has coached up 1st rounders. It's exactly what we need here to dominant the trenches again assuming he's a solid recruiter. He can coach for sure. I like it.
Bye Grimes. Glad he's finally gone dude has done nothing but underachieve here. Constant attrition and missed evaluations. You can expect attrition at OL but under Grimes it had unusually high amounts. They also 95% of the time fell to pieces in big games. You could almost always point in a big game the reason for the failure was QB and OL and OL rarely helped the QB.

i can accept the first full class being around 10 or so, because O had a lot to overcome. he didn't ride in on a wave of goodwill like Kirby did, there was a lot of venom (from idiots on here, mostly) and he had a lot of questions to answer.
but now here we are, playing on Jan 1 for 10 wins.
we're at least back to level now. opening with Miami in Dallas should set the stage for a great year on and off the field.

Damn, son! Titanic hire by CEO. Idk how in the hell he convinced Cregg to move from San Diego to Louisiana, but I won't question the result.

He was assistant to the ol coach. He could probably barely afford rent in SD.

I've never said this, but ..... Good job O! This sounds like a very solid hire.

Ah. I overlooked that part. And we both forgot that the Chargers are now in LA.

Miles, on the other hand, hired his best friend (who failed spectacularly with the Ravens) to be OC. That statement may catch some flak with people who don't remember how much the Ravens O improved once Cam was not in charge of play calling. Some of us saw that would be his doom - he wouldn't be able to fire him if needed.
Crapping on Cams resume is about the most ridiculous thing that happens on this board. Sure, he had issues at LSU, but instead of looking at a half season with the Ravens (werent they like 9-3 when he left?) and not the consistent top 15 NFL offenses over a period of 12 years is nuts.

I laugh so hard at the idiots that shite on Cam’s resume. He may have failed as a HC in the NFL, but he was one of the best OC’s of this generation. He made Gus Frerotte and Trent Greene Pro Bowl QB’s. Also, what have the Ravens done since he was fired? They won that SB running his offense, and since then, Flacco and the rest of the team have been crap.
ETA: It’s widely known that he was let go because Flacco didn’t like him, and the Ravens were about to give JF a huge contract, so they had to choose between JF and CC. Since then, Flacco hasn’t done shite.

I like O's hiring pool. Les seemed to be tied to other college coaches he's worked with. O comes from a coaching tree that has NFL ties. It's kinda nice.

Except win a SB.
Whats Cam done? Game literally passed him by. With all the talent LSU had, the only competent offense he could muster was with Mett/Hill/Landry/OBJ. Jesus Christ I could call plays with that talent.

Has nothing to do with his resume prior to LSU. Believe it or not, when he was hired at LSU, he was about as 'Home run hire' as you could get.

except by the people who said it was a bad idea and would cost Miles his job. but then again we had our threads whacked and were mocked by folks like you and chicken.

But sure, let's shite on them while o and the boys have done absolutely nothing of note yet at LSU.
And while we are on it, Les brought Ed o, Dave Aranda, Corey Raymond, Steve Ensminger on.

Cam Cameron was a former NFL coach.

How many hookers did he kill at USC?

And since then cam hasn't done shite. Think it was cam u mentioned Gus and Trent Greene that was along time ago.
And Baltimore won that sb because of the defense
