I think it actually could be as simple as a clash with Diaz.
Of all the coaches they lost, really only Muschamp (and now Akina) was the one that took them off guard. All the rest were shown the door, or asked to find another job.

Akina was at Arizona for a long time. Could be that he just wanted to go back... or he really hates Manny Diaz

He could be better, he could be worse.....I honestly don't know. However, based on a lot of history, I think it is a sound assumption to believe that Texas will always have a lot of NFL caliber defensive backs.
