re: Liucci saying LSU will offer up to $2.7mil/year, A&M won't, but doesn't matter.

Damn, is he worth 2.7?
No, but it's what happens when you're only paying the HC 3.5 per.
ETA: Despite what the idiots on the SECR say, LSU athletics is far from broke.

forgot what magazine it was but a local LSU one posts a financial report on LSU athletics. Basically LSU baseball, basketball, and football in the green, all other sports in the red, but the 3 majors make up for the deficit in the other sports.
edit: to put it simply LSU can afford this.

Link? Name of the sources?
My source is Alan Cannon, associate A&M AD affiliated with the program for three decades. He says it's essentially a done deal. I can post screenshots of the text if you'll give me a half hour.
Apparently you and your source don’t know crap. And you can tell ol’ cannon to blow it out his arse.......

Today though my dad and I were talking with my uncle who graduated and is good friends with associate AD Alan Cannon. He showed us texts from Cannon saying that Aranda is the guy Jimbo's targeting and while it's not a done deal, most expect that to go down next week.

That’s basically every athletic department across the nation except that baseball is usually in the red. Football carries every other sport.

Should add that this is in A&M's favor, they aren't going to have to match LSU's offer.
Well, how did that go??

Roger, can you post the text where your sauce admits to him not knowing shite?

This sheds light on why A&M insiders are wrong so often. They are fed information from within the program...and those guys don't have a pulse on what's going on.
A&M has never understood it's place and where it actually fits. I've said it before. A&M is a lot closer to the Mississippi schools than the upper SEC.
