The amount of shite that has been thrown around the past few weeks could cover the entirety of the great wall of china. My god.

The Jamail aspect is very intriguing. I have a "source" in Houston money circles that told me last spring that Jamail threatened to withhold a $100 million pledge to UT if they didn't give Mack another year. I had no idea that Jamail was actually
Browns personal attorney.
ETA: If true, I have to hand it to ole
Mack for knowing how to hedge his bets. Find the richest, most influential booster who happens to be powerful attorney and hire him!

Mack's definitely in NYC if it matters

@SIPeteThamel: Just bumped into Mack Brown in NYC: "You had me fired after the KState game," he said. Then he added, "I have no comment."

Why judge Saban tackling a new challenge. Rebuilding programs is a labour of love. Sometimes you have I change your colours.

Last on Mack Brown 2nite. Despite all the rumors I was never able to confirm that Nick Saban was ever in Austin today.

Now he is saying Saban was NOT in Austin yesterday.

This beingreal guy is a wannabe journalist and he doesn't know shite. He's "reporting" without being able to back anything up and any reporter that's anonymous is about worthless anyway.
I remember when Shula got fired and all the rumors that were swirling around who would be the next coach. Someone I am very close friends with is a pilot out of Birmingham and flies private jets as a side gig to his main flying job - he swore up and down that he flew Gene Stallings in the days after the Shula firing and that Gene Stallings would be renamed as coach.
Fact is, he did fly Stallings, but it had nothing to do with the coaching search. He was just drawing a conclusion based on the circumstances.

I won't comment on #1. Regarding #2, to be fair, while the whole fanbase wanted Diaz fired after last season, the fact that Mack fired him during the season, and so soon after a game, was a bit of surprise to even some insiders. It just so rarely happens at Texas - granted it's not like the team gives up a school record in rushing yards everyday either so it was clear something had to be done.
