Some people think he announces even if he wins. People have lost their minds.

A guy on the precipice of going to the playoffs is going to announce that he's accepted another job. Would literally be one of the biggest CFB stories ever.

This X100

Amazing people cant see this.

Unless blown out I think a two loss Bama or Michigan/Ohio state would get in over Oklahoma. Better resume. You could be right but I definitely could see the committee doing that if that’s what happens. The committee has favorites. A Big 10 team is making the playoff no matter what

So wait, you think cincy & ND get in over 1-loss, big 12 champ but not a 2 loss big10 runner up

Make it make sense

committee values big 10 more than big 12. Big 12 is a lesser conference. Oklahoma has a worse resume than a Michigan, Ohio State

Why does everyone keep spelling Brian Kelly’s name wrong! It’s quickly getting old.

OU will not be in the playoffs. The committee had them at 8 with ZERO losses. 4 of their first 5 wins were by a combined total of 21 points and none of them (Tulane, Nebraska, West Virginia, etc) are remotely relevant. They will play in a decent bowl game but LR won't coach in it.

A two-loss team, much less a two loss non-conference winner has never been selected for the playoff so don't know why you're so sure it'd happen this year.

and we can see the playoff committee clearly has little respect for the Big 12 with where both Oklahoma teams are ranked to the point where I don’t see them catapulting Oklahoma over ND and Cincy in 2 games but too each their own

People who keep repeating this clearly have never paid attention to past CFP rankings. The committee doesn't rank teams one way this week, in order to set something up like some of you believe. OU is ranked lower because they haven't really played anybody, and have struggled. They have Okie St coming up, who is highly ranked. If they beat them twice they will be very much in the thick of it for the playoffs.

Remember when LSU was only ranked second on the playoff polls for a while in 2019, and everybody cried about it on here constantly? They were "setting up Bama" and "screwing LSU," but they were promptly correctly ranked when all the dust settled.

Not a 2 loss team that didn’t play in it’s conf championship

That’s not the SEC baw. Neither Michigan or Ohio St’s resume’ is great

If you think it’s before The Big12 championship game is over, with an OU win tonight, I have $500 on it. Let’s bet

I don’t think they’re winning today. If that team meeting thread was accurate, they seem plenty distracted with all the rumors. And it’s not like he absolutely denied it, if they really think he’s leaving they might have a motivation issue.

That thread is an obvious troll by an OU fan.

you were saying if either Michigan or Ohio state lost to Iowa/Wisky in the conference championship, they would get replaced by Oklahoma if Okie were able to win its conference. I’m saying one of them will make the playoff over Oklahoma even if they lost to Iowa/Wisky next week. Unless I misunderstood you earlier

I can almost guarantee this doesn't happen.

Anybody thinking it does it just choosing to ignore logic, because they want to believe Riley will be the coach at LSU.

That'd be a horrible precedent to set. Essentially you're telling the Big 12 that they have to go undefeated to make it into the playoff.

ND gets the short end of the stick and gets jumped by a 1-loss conference champion. They have the freedom to schedule who they want, so any losses weigh much more heavily on them.

or just the fact that Oklahoma is ranked behind two two loss teams in the rankings and the worst ranked 1 loss team. The committee has little respect for Oklahoma. Seems pretty obvious. A lot of fricks ups would have to happen for them to land in the top 4

For fricks sake. Read my post before the last one. I covered that specifically. Where OU is ranked today means absolute jack shite, considering they would have to beat a top 10 team, plus beat them again the next week. It's a massive resume booster for them.
