Who's our candidates?
First name that pops in my head is major applewhite. I'm pretty ignorant on the state of OC and who would be an attractive hire or interested

If O is hired, I'd be interested to see if we actually could get Kiffin. I'd imagine he'd have more freedom here vs under Saban and not have to deal with public sideline verbal abuse. Figure some extra money and better working relationship would be worth it for him, granted it might only be for a year or two. Regardless, I think it's worth exploring.

Kiffin is the HCIW at Bama. He'd be crazy to leave and not continue to learn under the GOAT on how to run a dynasty and win championships.

Are we so sure Kiffin is HCOW at bama? I'd imagine Dabo has a more inside track on that than Kiffin.

If CEO is hired, he'll pick his staff. No new head coach would agree to having his staff dictated to him.

He's currently one of the Best offensive minds in the game, has ran a different offense with different play calls each of the past 3 seasons, and is great at adjustments.
Pair him with a good defensive staff and he'll be in cruise control. He won't be Saban, but who's really expecting that?
It just makes sense for him to stay there for another 4-5 years and get handed the keys. Especially after his incredible success already.

Everyone agrees Mifflin is a great offensive coach. His problem is maturity - can he be trusted to run a program?

I would agree 100 on that Dabo is the next one, as for OC here I would believe it would be Kiffen. He would be back wit his boy O and would give him another feather so to say in his hat as turning around another teams offense. Then he will be ready for another HC job which I would think would be a college program. I think his goal is getting back to the NFL. He was raised up in the NFL. Remember this Sark is the next OC at Alabama cause they know Kiffen is leaving soon.

If Charlie Strong is out at Texas, I think Sterling Gilbert deserves a hard look.
If Herman goes to Texas, I have read that Applewhite still has a lawsuit pending with UT, that could free up Applewhite. And he is a Baton Rouge native.

That's what I'm thinking, too.. Especially with the Bama ties. Dabs has proven himself, AND he's consistent.

If O does well enough to get the job, that means the offense is working very well. I don't see why Engsminger wouldn't get considered if that were the case.

He isn't the HCIW at Bama. 1. Saban isn't going anywhere for several years and 2. Who in their right mind follows up Saban? Impossible to meet gumpspectations.

Why has Ensminger not earned the job? He loves LSU, he's a fit with Cajun culture, and he's setting offensive records. How is O earning the job but not Ensminger?

Not sure how true this is, but I think I saw somewhere that Ensminger is content as the TE Coach after the season.

I heard on Moscona that he didnt like the long hours as OC. Has done well though imo calling plays

Why don't you guys want him to keep ensminger calling plays? They're breaking records, he's shown he's a better coach than when he was at Auburn..
