I’ll give you an honest answer.

I’d still buy my season tickets, still donate to TAF, still support the team in every way that I am capable of (which is not much lol). BUT, this program would take a dive worse than the last few years under O and it would take a long time to rebuild it. The thing that Kelly did, regardless of how shitty the outcome this year has been, is stabilize the program to stop hemorrhaging players and recruits. It’s not nearly what it was under Miles, but it’s better than it was leading up to the 2021 season. Now we’re in a position where the right coach could come in, go get a QB and some OLineman out of the portal, but still compete for the playoff in 2026. If you keep Frank as HC, I don’t think that materializes and you’re back here in another 3-4 years looking for a coach.

Also, what I think is not considered enough, if Frank takes the permanent job and fails, you completely sour his relationship with this university for the rest of his life. He’s been an extraordinary asset to this program for many years and would continue to be in the right position.

It’s not like we have to guess what kind of coach Frank is/was. He was a bad head coach

I like Frank Wilson, he’s a good coach/recruiter and an LSU company man that has stepped in to right this thing in a pretty tough time.

Hiring Frank Wilson the failed UTSA and McNeese coach to run LSU full time would be insane.

We've seen first hand this season how much poor coaching can destroy talent and yall still think Frank is an option?

No big name coordinators are going to come here under Frank

Why would big name coordinators want to coach under Frank Wilson? They are likely more qualified for the job than he is

What makes you believe Frank would be worse than O? What has O accomplished before LSU?

I said something similar about O and while I was dead wrong for a few years, I was ultimately right by the end and LSU still hasn’t really recovered from him.

And yet Frank would be an even worse hire. At least O failed at an SEC program. Frank failed badly at bad programs.

There's 0% chance Frank would get complacent with the program like O did. I'm not advocating for him at all, but I couldn't see him leaving LSU worse than O did if he wouldn't work out.
