At least a coaching search will extend the season longer. Now we could potentially get an extra month or so of the search debate. Then the whole spring and summer to fantasize about next season.

The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence, we will be running the next coach out of here in 3 years. Its just the way we are.

Wouldn't it be just a little awkward for Miles to announce the hiring of Spurrier?

I agree Chicken. I hate to lose two coaches before our bowl game but the timing (as far as having more coaches to choose from) would be far better than the Saban exit. I would like to see Spurrier come in with a coaching staff and train our future (younger) coach. I hate to say it but Saban coming back with Crowton as OC would not be bad either.

Yeah, so ummmmm...... everyone is getting so excited at the thought of a new coach. I mean, hell the coaching changes board is the most popular board right now.

What happens if Miles stays? Seems to me that nobody is going to look forward to next year at all.

if les to michigan sunday, pretty much means les to michigan back in september.

if miles goes, and there's a pretty high probability that he does (32.33, repeating of course, percentage according to Abdul), then it was a done deal midseason.

I don't think anyone is running our coaches out of town. Saban left voluntarily even though he was treated like a GOD. Miles has finally gained some respect and would be sitting one game from a National Championship without the coaching distractions. I think, for the most part, that our fanbase would be fine with this staff had rumors of their coaching ambitions POSSIBLY effecting our NC run not come out.

talent like Danny Wuerffel?

Did all that talent go to UF before Spurrier was there?

we will do that anyway, BUT from what you are saying...it can't turn out not to be true

just admit, you are taking a guess.

IF you were reported this information and it was to be credible there would be no problem saying where/who you heard it from

Ive been told by a very reliable source that Sunday Les Miles will announce his intentions to become Michigans Coach and that our top canidate to replace him will be Spurrier.

I am sure everyone's "sources" can be accurate on this one. I think the only issue is if the announcement comes Sunday or later in the week.

I have been told personally by a present football player (obviously will not say name, so feel free to badger) that Les will announce Sunday that he is on his way to Michigan. Apparently, they would know more than any of us. Feel free to flame, just passing on what I was told.

I agree. My girlfriend (Susan Webber for you skeptical dipshits) works for Levi Thompson (a UM professor on the athletic advisory board at UM). Everyone on the "inside" says it is a done deal. May be announced Sunday.
