re: Rick Neuheisel talking with UCLA

I think he'd be a terrific hire for UCLA. He won't have to recruit too hard because there is already talent in LA. USC can't get it all. Not to mention, he has an awesome track record in the Pac-10. (WASH)
re: If I were West Virginia, I would hire Dan Mullen

they don't have the budget and facilities to go after a coach who's already at a top program. (i.e. Saban, Miles, Spurrier, etc)
Their best bet is to get a guy who is an up and comer like Chris Peterson or to get a guy who is solid at running the spread or at least a version of it. (i.e. Crowton, Mullen, App. st. coach)

Keiland shouldn't even be considered to get a bulk anymore. His fricking run today cost us HUGE. Made the game very close at that point. fricking ridiculous run.

We keep Les and return to the years of ARcher/Hallman. :banghead: :banghead:
Every other team has a big name coach that we have to compete with recruits for. (meyer, spurrier, saban, tuberville, fulmer, richt) and we get the arse clown. :banghead:
Les took old skip for a ride and milked us for millions all the while costing us two shots at an MNC this year and the SECCG. :banghead:

Is it too much to ask him to do the job we're paying him for and then go out and contact Tenuta AFTER the fricking game?

Yep, like said before, we ARE a stepping stone job. The next hire will just use us for about 4 years as well.

If Les leaves, I don't think we should pay him the money he is set to earn today. He obviously has been out contacting Tenuta and Michigan instead of coaching this team up for the SECCG. frick him. He didn't earn his paycheck.
If Miles stays after all this drama he put LSU through, it would be tough for players and fans to even respect him. He should be out whether Michigan hires him or not.

It wouldn't surprise me if ESPN is basing their "source" as the fact that after interviewing Pelini, they continuted to interview others. Pretty pointless to speculate at this point.

I don't think we would have to worry about him leaving us for his alma mater UC Davis.
No, but we would have to worry about him going to the NFL. But of course that would entail him having success here. :dude:
WE would also have to worry about an opening at USC, UCLA, and Cal perhaps? :dunno:
Truth be told, I want Petersen more than Kelly because Petersen has been on the big stage before. (BCS bowl game)

Or getting Coach O to help lure some recruits would help.
I wouldn't mind seeing Petersen at HC and us taking a chance on the "O" at DC. :dunno:
My first choice is Del Rio, however improbable that may be.

Petersen with Tenuta would make me very pleased. However, how good is he at recruiting? I don't believe that's been tested yet for him.

I'd most definitely prefer him to Spurrier. Spurrier coming here worries me that he'll win SEC/MNC within 2-3 years and then quit leaving the cupboard bare for our successor.

One game does not a coach make.

Wasn't last year his first year at Boise?
He didn't do too well this year at boise. Losing 2 games in the WAC is NOT impressive. Boise usually ran the table against the WAC and lost to a bigger team like UGA under Hawkins.

damn, apparently someone needs to teach Bo how to interview better. Sheesh
Either that or Osborne was a good coach and a good football mind and knows Pelini's defense is a heaping pile of shite against teams with a mobile or good QB.
