Whatever Les wants he is the HC and he has to have people he is confident in. Besides why hire all theese goobers who are always interviewing for other jobs. Loyalty means a lot. Why go after all these losers who have either been fored or worked for coaches who wre fired. Remember LSU's defense ranked ahead of Texas.

Our defense was ranked statitically better than the #3 ranked team - I like that. We lost this year because we didn't have a division one QB. Besides if Miles is happy we should be, he did win the NC last year cut the man some slack.

How many pick 6 did JL have? I lost count. My point is everybody is working themselves into a frenzy about how we need a new DC, but Miles is the only opinion that counts. If he believes that defensive failures were not a coaching issue, but players simply failing to or refusing to make plays, then he won't make a changeno matter what the ranter experts say.

If LSU's defense played the schedule that Texas did with those high powered offenses, our defense would be in the bottom 10% in the country.

Our defense was really, really bad this year. And the lack of performance cannot be explained away in terms of no talent or inexperience.
Les has to replace them and envision dominance on defense.

Looking at this objectively I see the following:
Florida L 51-21 Fault of both offense and defense, but mostly defense
Georgia L 52-38 Fault of defense
Bama L 27-21 Fault of offense
Ole Miss L 31-13 Fault of both, but mostly defense
Arkansas L 31-30 Fault of defense
So with a good QB, we would have probably gone 8-4, possibly 9-3. With a good defense, we would have gone 9-3, possibly 10-2. That's how I see it IMHO.
