He is 65 and you have no fricking clue if his agent has been contacted.

he may get a courtesy interview or one to show the teams fans they are doing a search but there is no fanbase out there with Miles as their number 1

CLM was nothing prior to LSU. He came here and was extremely successful and still isn't well respected as a coach nationally...why do you think that is?

Hopefully no where. He had his shot. He needs to let someone else have a go. Too many young coaches to give Les another chance. He had everything he needed at LSU, and failed.

because reasonably intelligent people know LSU won in spite of Miles not because of him

Have we determined that Miles really wants another job?

The posturing was likely to fulfill the "actively search" requirements of the buyout.

Failed? Holy shite you are one dumb MFer.

Les Miles is a Hall of Famer with a resume 99% of college coaches would give both nuts for.

If Orgeron were offered Les Miles level of success at LSU he would jump all over it in about half a second dumbass.

He's definitely getting a big dose of reality now.

As are some of my friends who, for reasons beyond my understanding, thought he'd be a shoe in at another big university making roughly the same amount of money.

These next few weeks will be very interesting to see where everyone lands.

I know there is some bad sentiment, but Miles is easily better than 98% of coaches in CFB today.

There aren't that many good jobs that are open. Texas wanted Herman and everyone knew that. Miles isn't a fit at Oregon at all. After next season there will likely openings that are a better fit for Miles.

how can you ever say this when LSU has the most players in the NFL and has hardly any hardware to show for it?

It's simple. You have to play Alabama every year.
