Of course Les is interested. Tenn has exactly what Les wants...A bad passing qb so that way he can run is ancient offense attack

Tennessee needs a recruiter who has national credibility, not just regional. Miles is almost taylor made for this job. I believe Miles would get Tennessee competing in recruiting and on the field in no time.
He’s not the long term solution but he gets the Vols back on the map. You simply cannot discount his knowledge and experience in this league.

Seems like any time a job becomes available, it’s reported that Les is extremely interested. Makes me wonder how many of these schools actually contacted him after hearing he was interested, only to be told, “I was just kidding.”

Seems like all he has to do is solicit interviews to satisify his buyout terms. He can't make them grant him one.

Most of you will torpedo me, but Les could be successful in Knoxville. He is a top 5 recruiter in the US, and that is what TN needs -- a lot of 4 and 5 * players. I think Les probably learned a hard lesson about not being a top candidate, and would probably modify his offense, and bring Chavis back to coach defense. Chavis is still a rock star with most TN fans.

Les goes to UT and wins a championship in a,couple years. How bad does the tiger rant melt?

The only down fall for TN in Les is his age. He till run a clean program! He would be a great stop gap for TN.

Les is smarter than people give him credit for. He's collecting fat checks from LSU and is doing what he needs to in order to keep them coming
Not really. Doesn’t take a rocket scientist to make money by sitting on his arse because he was a failure down the stretch at his last job. If he was actually smart then we would’ve updated his offense into at least the 1980’s and he would still be making $5M+ per year to coach.

Do you really think nobody wants him
Do you have any evidence that any relevant program has seriously pursued him? I mean I’m sure Arkansas State would take him but I doubt that any P5 school in the top half of their conference would. Fact: 3 million dollars or more buys someone who’s a better coach than Les and has way more left in the tank. I will never understand the CURRENT infatuation from our fanbase with him after the shitshow we were forced to watch for the last 5 years

I wish he would go to Arkansas.
Hell no. If we would have to face Nick Saban and Les Miles every year, the SEC would have to require someone in the West to hire Hallman.

what the hell. I think it would be interesting as hell if Les came back to coach in the SEC. it would be freaky if he hired Chabis again tho.

Imagine Miles v Saban 2.0 but with Tennessee and not LSU.

Yeah, it's all a brilliant canard - rather than simply the fact that he's an antiquated dunderhead no one wants.
We're at the point where if he interviews for the Tennessee job, the only way he doesn't get it is if he does intentionally tank the interview.

He did it before. He told them that he needed the school to be totally committed financially to him and his staff. He made it clear that they were going to have to spend an assload of money to find out if he had really been studying up on modern day offense.
I think they found it offensive.

The funniest part would be the fact that Les would beat Saban with Tennessee long before Cookie Monster will lead us to a win over him! I love my Tigers but I'd bet the farm on that one!

Les has beaten Saban for the last time.
