I could see that.
Les is not a bad coach at all. And the expectations at Houston would be much more in line with his personality, imo.
Also, while this may be unpopular on this board, I still really like Les. I see why LSU needed a change, but that does not mean Les would not be successful elsewhere.

1. Orlando
2. Miles
Realistically Houston can't hire Briles without alienating the entire female student body and Kiffin isn't a long term hire. Orlando has done enough to probably earn an opportunity to be the HC but Miles has an incredible track record.

I don't see how they don't hire Les Miles. He provides stability to that program more than the other two. Assuming Les has a proposal put together to modernize his offense, this is a no brained.
Kiffin won't stay more than 1-2 Years and his history as a HC is bad.
Art Briles is so damaged they would be crazy to hire him. His admissions prove that he provided cover for his players in the rape case. That's just unacceptable any way you look at it. It's interesting that Jimbo Fisher did the same thing and came out undamaged.
My conclusion is Les Miles to Houston.
Kiffin to LSU

would rather LSU have Briles than Kiffin as OC for LSU.
Agree

Houston just published that Briles is not a candidate. The man is toxic scum and I hope he never enters the conversation for LSU''s OC

Is there a link to this?
the whole situation is messed up, but I have read several LSU posters say this is not the case.

Seriously, why on earth do you bring in Briles who created a culture on his team where he covered for players who committed rape?
The publicity would be horrible toward LSU. We've had enough bad press this year.
I'm as skeptical as anybody on these cases but, Briles admitted it on an ABC interview.

Briles' admission.
This is a crime by the way. It's called, "Misprison of a Felony".

Smart decision.
As a parent, I just can't justify hiring this guy.
He should look at the NFL as a coordinator or positions coach.

thanks for the link.
I just read it. He never said he was involved or knew about the allegations.
That does not mean he is being honest, and I think even if he was, it shows he did not have the control or knowledge he should have as an HC.
It is just a really disgusting situation. I cannot imagine how the girls or parents feel after the information came out that there was a legitimate reason to not bring these sexual predators on campus--- even if the HC is being honest --- I cannot imagine how much anger I would have at the entire administration of Baylor.

UH has announced that they are not interviewing Briles despite earlier reports that they were.

He was the HC, he played a large part in creating that culture. Whether he was actively helping cover everything up or not, he prioritized football over the safety of Baylor students. I won't be disappointed if he never coaches again.
And he's 61. If I were him I'd just retire and try to live the rest of my live in relative obscurity.

I agree with all of this.
Whether through complicit actions or inexcusable incompetence, the harm done was at least in part enabled by his action or inaction.
Honestly the more I read, the more I think Baylor should be scorched and salted of every person who held any responsibility at that campus. They failed their students and horrible things happened. Honestly, I do not think I could continue to work or support any such institution while any remnants remained.

Have there been any rumblings about the Big 12 expanding?
