You would've thought they would have realized the good ol boy network doesn't work when it failed with Johnny Jones but yet here they are trying it again. No other coach would want Ensminger as OC but since he's a yes man and O's boy that's who he wants. You can't have a head coach that thinks that way that's why this was never a good hire from the start.

I think O had E as his second choice last year and Alleva vetoed it. Which would mean Alleva isn’t supportive of an E promotion to OC for round 2.

Other option:
They hire E. They lose 5 games next year because 5 opponents on the schedule have good defenses. Maybe lose another 1-2 they shouldn’t.
Hell if O is going to meddle just cut him loose and promote Aranda now.

I think Jerry Sullivan is the perfect kind of guy for the shadow staff. Lot's of knowledge and can break down film, identify talent, problems, etc.
He has no business being a permanent member of the on-field coaching staff. I had no issue with Pete Jenkins, since we knew it was just for a year.
I would rather Tyke Tolbert.
