Lane Kiffin is TRASH, he will fit right in at Bama.
Everywhere he has been has turned to shite, he will fit in perfect over there!!
I would love to see Lil Nicky hire that sleeze ball, they probably will mesh together very well!!

The problem with this line of reasoning is that it is false.
His offense at USC was a tremendous success, and not with Norm Chow there ( the same Norm Chow who had an offense in the bottom third of the league during his time at Tennessee btw.) He didn't call the offense in Oakland. At UT his offense doubled the output of the previous year.
The only real lack of success was at USC the second time.
People want to assign all kinds of false attributes to the guy because he is a fantastic douche bag. But the numbers don't bear that out.

Let it all out big fella

No differently than saying Lane Kiffin is a bad OC and play caller. Both are untrue and that was my point.
Bama fans trying to act like Kiffin is this evil genius of a playcaller proves my point that 95% of Alabama fans have never watched a football game that didn't have Alabama playing in it. Kiffin was an atrocious playcaller at USC the last two years. Get ready for a bunch of 5 yard hitches on 3rd and 7, especially if you're breaking in a new QB (who Lane inevitably won't trust).

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad USC fired him. He failed to make adjustments, or direct that the appropriate adjustments get made in losses to Wazzu and ASU. It was unforgivable.
That said, USC has a sanctions-depleted roster and it's likely his conservative play calling was tied to that fact. With a talent-laden roster at Bama and only calling plays to worry about (not being a HC in a media fish-bowl like Los Angeles), he can have success there.

Yeah, but didn't you hear, all these people who have no meaningful contact with Kiffin's playcalling know better!

So all the Bama fans who undoubtedly called Kiffin classless and talentless while he was at UT and USC are now all about him right? Correct me if I'm wrong, I haven't read the thread.

Not all but most of them. I must admit that we shouldn't be surprised.

He's still classless, I don't think anyone is arguing otherwise.

He just found some talent between being fired and now in some of yall's eyes, I guess. Or are you arguing that Bama fans had nothing but positive things to say about his coaching talents?
I hope Bama gets him so I can enjoy seeing Bama fans defend him when people are laughing at him like Bama fans did the hardest of any other fans.

I think you are mixing concepts.

Man, you LSU fans put a lot of stock into what Bama fans think.
In the end it doesn't matter what they think, it matters what the guy getting paid 7 million thinks. He's got a pretty good track record.

I don't want Kiffin. He's a loser and a dick.
That said, should he get the job, I hope he proves to us all that he is trying to change his image. If he can just stick to Saban's gag order he'd prove a lot to me.
I also think he could be a decent offensive coordinator and that has nothing to do with what I think about him as a person.

Sorry, but I have Bama family that loathes Kiffen and they are already crawfishing simply at the thought that he might coach there.
Of course it only matters what Saban thinks, but it's not like I can't also enjoy the uncomfortable spinning that would happen.

The real question about Lane is this: With his buyout from USC why doesn't he just stay at home and bang his wife for the next year or so? If I were him, I would.
Know how I know you're not married?

@Chris_Womack Source: "Kiffin officially in." Still waiting on university announcement, confirmation #alabama #bama

I suspect that the Bama fanbase will get behind him regardless of what they thought about him previously.
It's what all fanbases do. Not just Bama's.

I expect a few lose their minds. Some people really hated him.

Exactly, no big deal, but the 180 will be slightly comical.

It's not so much a 180 as it's a "meh, what are you gonna do". I'm not going to wish failure on the team to prove my opinion on LK correct.
