I hate that he said this and is somehow getting a pass by his defenders around here. Just purposely and unnecessarily making LSU look for political reasons.

Why did he bring up taxpayers?

Last I knew the correct answer was during Miles tenure. Miles was getting 500k a year at the time. Who do you think pays state employees?
