Would he leave is Alma Mater for a larger more established program? Or is he committed to building Texas Tech?

What are the opinions of fans or close observers of him as a head coach?

I haven't heard his name thrown out there and I'm curious if this is because the perception is that he is committed to staying or if the perception is he isn't ready for a slightly bigger program.
I understand he has a .500 record as a head coach so I can see that people might want more data before he'd get an offer but his offensive focus and overall "style" seems like it would be an easy sell for programs looking for a rebound... Maybe someplace like Miami?

Thoughts?

He doesn't even deserve the deal he currently has at Tech, I don't think any big boys are going to come calling until he actually does something of note

Uh, he sucks. TT will probably fire him in a year or two.

He ain't getting an upper-tier job when he's having a hard enough time keeping his mid-level job.

No they won't. You clearly don't understand how hard it is to recruit and win at Tech.

Did you know that Mike Leach only had one year of 10+ wins in his 8 seasons at Tech? Or how about the fact that Spike Dykes is a legend at Tech even though he only got more than 7 wins twice in 14 years?

Fair enough. Thanks for the input.

Definitely doesn't have the resume now and he may never if he stays at TT because it seems like a hard place to compete. Idk. That's why I was curious if he might be looking to leave. Or if people who are closer observers of the team thought he had potential or if people like you and others think he sucks.

Just wanting to start discussion about off the radar guys instead of the same old conversations every year.

Coach Gosling will continue to coach HerpAggie as long as he brings .500 or better home.

This is so so true.

"Why would you want to go to Austin or Ft Worth when you could come to Lubbock and get Raider Rash like the rest of us?"

That said, Kliff is a hero to the school. I was at the TCU game, after they rushed for 5 yards twice, a spectator behind me said "wow, so this is what it's like to have a running game!"

One of my teachers husbands played with him at Texas Tech and still keep in touch and he absolutely loves it there. It's going to be damn near impossible to draw him away.
