They were still competing for a Natty and he left.

Ole Miss could still lose and either be in or out right? It’s not for certain.

Its a new world and the recruiting and portal windows dictate that something like this will happen

As he shouldn’t. He shouldn’t feel bad for doing what he wants to do.

For the love of God please make all of this back and forth Kiffin saga stop. Nobody knows anything on here including you. He may come, he may not come but I’m so tired of seeing “DONE DEAL” on one thread and below it saying “Kiffin is not coming”. It’s exhausting.

I didn’t say “probably,” the admin edited my topic, which is fine, but it originally didn’t seem so wishy-washy.

I am 100% positive Kiffin is not coming. Not because he doesn’t want to. LSU is and Ole Miss aren’t even comparable. But a coach can’t leave an 11-1 playoff contending team. It’s just not going to happen

Right, which is why he’s jetting family around to two other sec towns to check out real estate and schools for kids. You are a true idiot.

I previously thought this way. But Brian Kelly literally left his 11-1 team to come coach us.
Lincoln Riley had it made at Oklahoma and made the playoffs multiple times, yet he still left.

These coaches don't care about any of that. They are mercenaries.

Can we be honest? Ole Miss isn't winning anything this year.

They weren't "competing" at all. Their regular season was over. It's was maybe they get in, but not a certainty. If Ole Miss beats MSU it's a certainty they are in. Two different circumstances.

That's true. Which would make it a parallel to BK in 2021. At that point Kiffin would have a similar choice to make. Take a new job with the knowledge that his current team MAY be in the CFP? Or stay with no guarantee OM will be in the CFP?

That's why I said I believe that if Ole Miss beats State the circumstances will keep Kiffin from taking a job at LSU, Florida, or any other school with a current opening. He won't bail on a team that, with certainty, is IN the CFP and LSU/Florida won't be willing to wait until OM is no longer in the CFP.
