Saban's longest rest stop was at LSU until he got the Bama job. Everyone just knew (and hoped) he would continue his vagabond ways. Maybe Lane's looking for his destination now.

I would like an adult to be the next LSU head coach since the last 2 were childish cartoon characters. No thanks to Kiffin.

For how long? What's the longest Kiffin has spent at any program? Nothing on his resume to indicate long term stability.

Every move he made was a promotion to a better job. It’s what virtually every other coach does.

This. He left Tennessee for his dream job, fired at USC, was trying to do double duty at Bama/FAU and Saban let him go which cost him a title. Ole Miss after FAU. It’s literally been a step up each move other than being fired at USC to OC at Bama which absolutely changed his entire career. I know we don’t expect him as a long term person but think he’d give us at least 3 then we can promote his OC Jeff Lebby

He's an immature douche-bag that is run by his ego instead of his brain and is more likely to become an embarrassment than win a championship. I don't want him.

What has Kiffin done that makes him a head case?

You don't know that. You are just making that shite up to piss on Kiffin because Kiffin is known as an offensive guru.

Nonetheless, you can't convince me that after Kiffin spent three seasons at Nick Saban's Coaching Rehabilitation Clinic in Alabama while also serving as Saban's OC, that Kiffin never learned that always having an excellent defense is paramount in the SEC.

Thankfully Woodward will not even give him a phone call

Kiffin is the only choice. There is no other choice unless Woodward wants to roll the dice with one of these unproven coaches or hire Stoops. Either way, Scott's reputation will take a great big hit.

No kidding. Regardless of facts that have been presented to you in other threads (facts, not opinions) you refuse to address them and continue with your nonsense.

It' doesn't matter what anyone tells you, your mind is made up.

It's one thing to have a favorite hire because he's 'your' guy. What you've been doing is something completely different.

Thanks for proving my point. You are so locked in on Kiffin, and that's fine, but to say

quote:

Woodward wants to roll the dice with one of these unproven coaches

If Woodward were to get Saban, you'd say Saban is unproven?

Toss in Urban Meyer in that conversation. Toss in Riley. Ryan Day.

You're acting like Kiffin is literally the only choice and you've been doing it for a while now.

You can criticize Kiffin all you want, but nonetheless, Kiffin has successfully converted 73.5 percent of his fourth down attempts. You obviously don't have the first freaking clue what you are talking about.

quote:

How is it bullshite?

It is bull shite. As most of it happened many years ago when he was just a young man. Many people make stupid mistakes in judgment when they are young people. Since when is stupid mistakes a life sentence? Meanwhile, today he is one of the best coaches in America.

quote:

He acts just as immaturely now as he did when he was 30

Easy to say. Back it up with legitimate evidence. As Kiffin has been on his best behavior for years now.

Sure he trolls other coaches every now and then, but it's all in good fun. As even the coaches that are trolled enjoy it and find it humorous.

The only one I see that is immature is you because you are falsely accusing Kiffin of something he isn't guilty of.

quote:

He’s not built to be the head guy at a major program IMO. He’s perfect for a place like Ole Miss that just wants people to notice them

You're an idiot! He took over a basket case in Oxford, MS and in less than two seasons, Kiffin has Ole Miss at 8 & 2 already. Not to mention that his next two games are against Vandy and Moo State. He could end up 9 & 3, but it is looking more like 10 & 2.

So in reality, Kiffin who you say isn't built to be a head guy at a major program is the de facto coach of the year in the SEC. I mean, who has done a better job than Kiffin so far in 2021? No one.

Moreover, if Scott makes the stupid mistake of permitting Kiffin to remain at Ole Miss, then it won't be very long at all before Kiffin will not only beating LSU on the recruiting trail every year, but also on the football field every year.

You don't know. You don't know shite! Meanwhile, other than Kiffin there are no program builders.

If Scott make the stupid mistake of permitting Kiffin to remain at LSU, then he will get the blame when Lane Kiffin and Jimbo Fisher will be beating LSU every year like a redheaded step child both on the recruiting trail and on the football field.

You're an idiot. Ole Miss is 8 & 2 with games remaining against Vandy and Moo State. Odds are, Kiffin will have Ole Miss at 10 & 2 in only his second season as the head coach. He's the no brainer hire, yet all you would do is go fishing with him but hire one of the other losers instead. Give me a break.

For the rest of his career genius. He is climbing his way to the top of the mountain. When he gets the LSU job, he would have reached the pinnacle Hence, he would remain at LSU for the remainder of his career.

How's Kiffin going to do that if he's "permitted to remain at LSU?" He's going to coach both LSU and Ole Miss?
