DC at Alabama for one year, demoted. DC at Clemson for 3 years, invited to leave after giving up 70 in the bowl game. DC at LSU for one year, bolted. Now after a decent stint at Auburn he allegedly leads a coup to get Malzahn ousted. No thanks, this guy has Matt Canada type issues

Y’all are crazy! If we don’t Freeman(which with Harbaugh being shaky and possibly going to Detroit anyway, then Fickel to UM, Freeman HC at Cincy) I would take Steele in a heartbeat over Odom or Mason or whoever else we’re gonna settle for!

LSU had the worst defense since Malveto possibly even worse when Steele coached here. The only defense worse was this year. We don't want him. Some guys just don't fit. He had his shot here and bolted. frick him.

He is not vested I believe. I think he has 7 years. He is vested at 10 years. Maybe he goes to Bama or UAB to get the last 3 years. They could pay less since that pension is based on the highest 3 years in your last 10.

This guy has made and will continue to make millions as a coach and you think he gives a shite about an state pension plan. Steele's defense was by far the best defensive unit that LSU faced last season holding the greatest offense ever to 23 points. Steele is the most experienced and SEC battle tested defensive coach in the conference.

Unconfirmed rumors and has been at LSU and Auburn since then with no reports of those issues. Only a hand full of guys have been as consistently good as Steele the last 5 years in a major conference as a defensive coordinator. Really just Clemson, Wisconsin, Ohio St. and Iowa, really who else is there.
