Kelly would be a very strong hire and here is why

In reality, he'd be a great hire. 60 isn't that old. If we got 6 or 7 strong years out of him, that'd be more than just about all but 3 coaches in LSU history. Dude is the winningest coach in the history of notre dame and has done it with having to recruit smart kids in comparison to the lower gpa kids that go to school in Louisiana and the south. He's a great tactician. 9-3 would be the absolute floor with him. He would rarely get out coached. The only unknown is his ability to recruit the area.
And LSU recruits itself in the state. What is the biggest problem we have talent wise? OLine. Kelly has the Midwest connections for that and would massively upgrade us there.

Absolutely a great hire.
Anyone that doesn’t think Kelly is a great hire is crazy.
Easily one of the Top10 coaches in CFB, probably Top5. I don’t like his personality, but he’s a damn good HC.

Of the guys realistically left on the board, we could do worse and I don’t even like the guy. I think he is an arrogant, prick.

In the SEC, no it wouldn't.
I don't see how he is appealing to recruits in the SEC, but to each their own.
His offense is ranked around 56 and their schedule is terrible. I am not sure they beat a single currently ranked team all season.

I’ve seen him out coached in several bowl games. Would be an underwhelming hire to say the least
