Yeah, timing is one of many reasons why I seriously doubt Riley will be the guy. He's already at a top tier program that can consistently get top 5 recruiting classes. They are also about to join the SEC, and most importantly he can win championships there. The move makes very little sense. I think people that seriously are speculating it could be him or a SEC west rivals coach is someone that isn't to be taken seriously.

Right. He won’t coach in bowl game. Grinch will handle it and interview for head job.

They're about to move from an perennial playoff contender to upper mid-tier program in the SEC. That's the hard truth and if LSU has Riley sold on that, LSU just needs to match any offer from OU.

Chokelahoma still has to play Baylor, Iowa St, and OSU with a true Fr qb and a PO’d Rattler. Don’t punch that ticket to conf champ game just yet. These teams have more film on CW now so can game plan around him instead of facing him cold. They always knew what he could do now they KNOW what he can’t do.

They will back up the truck. OU is very wealthy and they know they need stability as they move into the SEC
i would love to be wrong
but in the end....P5 coaches dont leave to go to comperable schools. Outside of jimbo(and that was a resource/support and family issue)it doesnt happen.
