Just a reminder, Bama wanted Rich Rod

Bama went all in on a Rich Rod hire and got publicly turned down. It would have been a splash hire at the time, but, as history has shown, it would not have been a good hire. They were forced to create a plan B, which was get on a plane and convince Saban to be their coach.
The Rich Rod snub surely hurt their feelings, but I’m certain they are thankful for that unanswered prayers.
Things will work out just fine.

I agree. Riley would have been a splash hire but he’s not the only coach that can win big in Baton Rouge.

4 wins for this ulm team was great. I don’t think they lead at any point last season. There season win total was 1-1/2, with a game against Jackson st on the schedule. I know a lot of people that took the under. Bowden/Rich Rod did a really good job changing the culture
