With Herman going to Texas, Jimbo has us over a barrel! He can play hard to get now!

Why does everyone act as if Herman to Texas is a done deal. No one has any clue other than that their boosters supposedly want him.

Someone leaked that to try to force the school's hand, will probably turn out about like LSU's leak last year.

Herman is a control freak from what the 1300 guys say in Austin. That doesn't mesh well with boosters who literally camp out on the 40 acres.

That's why there was no need to fire miles in September. No advantage to having an opening that early. All LSU did was create this unnecessary O sideshow. Alleva is an idiot.

Exactly! We could still be aTm and then they fire Sumlin and they go after Herman. I don't think LSU is willing to get into a bidding war for Herman but would give him a shot if the price was right... which I don't think it will be.

Completely disagree.

Miles had to be fired early to prevent another fan crying session end of season. Miles should have been fired last November until heartstrings made business decisions. There was no way Alleva could allow that again. Unfortunately, the same folk starting crying for Coach O, something Alleva hopefully tuned out. That has now been put to bed hopefully and LSU can make a decision based on availability and business sense compared to an emotional fanbase.

If Miles was still the coach sitting a 6-4, a TAMU win Thursday and rally support would have the potential to repeat last season.

Instead, LSU is now sitting with a clean slate. LSU will hire a new HC and it will be from outside the program.

Agreed. It will be a lot easier to pass on hiring an interim coach than it would have been to fire Miles.

interim coach

That is the problem, alleva and O both referred to O as the HC, with no interim. Giving O 6 games makes no sense, fire miles after AL and then whosoever the interim HC is can't try to lay claim to the job.

It doesn't matter if they used the word "interim" or not. He's the interim coach. If he wasn't, we wouldn't have been searching this whole time. Alleva said when all of this started that "I am the search".
