And what do you call the mess we're in now. The players and coaching staff are largely divided. The players dont like the scheme and have zero confidence in the DCs

Pelini was as big of a pompous a-hole anyone could meet, hard to believe Tenuta can be much worse.

I would imagine a really good DC is the hard-to-get-along-with type, but like someone else said, there has to be reason why no one else wanted him.

i think the future answer to the spread will be the 3-4 defense. takes a DL off the field, adds another backer, and most importantly, is a much more complicated front to block. im not saying the 3-4 will kill off the spread, but i think it will be the way to combat it and get scores back in the 20s instead of the 40s
