"i suspect they will name a coach in the next 24-48 hours and the fans will be very happy"
when asked if it was a client of his he said he could not comment on that.
He also said he just returned from Detroit-- Hmmmmm. He did claim he was just signing some players, but I am sure he is talking to Michigan about the vacancy there as well.

muschamp
i was thinking either him or borges (sp), nor sure if Al is a client or not.
pretty sure muschamp is.
Sexton was also very proud over the succession deal he struckk for Jimbo.

Borges hasn't been mentioned... all indications point to Muschamp. I didn't know he was a client of Sexton's but that kind of sucks.

must be muschamp and he better hire a crackerjack OC to shut the Hog fanatics up
Posted on 12/11/07 at 9:30 am to supatigah
If Muschamp, would he hire Borges as his OC?
Posted on 12/11/07 at 10:15 am to BhamTigah
Think it is the opposite. Borges gets HC

Not sure but it's not what I'm hearing right now...

Sexton's trying to get the Michigan job for Saban.
Gumps better hurry up and give him a raise.

Muschamp is not a client of Jimmy. I believe he is represented by someone based in Miami.

I am hearing Petrino will take the job.

From whom? I hope this is the case because it's been reported that we dropped Muschamp from consideration and it's worrying the hell out of me.

At Arkansas, I presume?
As soon as you posted this, I looked at the AR boards and everyone is melting down because we dropped Muschamp from consideration.
I sure hope it's a very good reason.

ARM is Jimmy Sextons company here in Memphis.

I heard Petrino was officially out of the running. Now I read this and don't know what to think. Thank god for the UM/Ark. coaching drama because I don't know how I'd fill my time waiting for the bcs title game.

Does anyone know the complete list of Sexton's clients (college coaches and assistants)?

Gotcha... I just didn't think Petrino was going to leave so soon and didn't even seriously consider him a candidate. I guess we'll see if it happens.
Maybe losing to the Saints last night convinced him to leave?
