I still don’t see it happening, but if it does I’ll be sick to my stomach. He should be LSU’s coach

Maybe so but it's pretty obvious we are going to throw a ton of money at him. Who knows if he leaves but he is without a doubt our top target. I don't think Sexton is manufacturing interest or money from us.

keep in mind this is an LSU guy at AD making this hire for a&m.

I think Woodward pulls this off. then I want him to take over for Alleva when the time comes.

That can't be right. Non biased posters here told me Jimbo would never consider Aggy

Yes they do. They play ULM this Saturday in a game rescheduled due to the hurricane earlier this year.

Great fail.

we are going to give him everything he wanted from LSU

we will give him 10 years (which im not super into but whatever. its what you got to do), unlimited budget for assistants, unlimited budget for recruiting, and an unlimited budget for facility upgrades

The long contract and likely a ton of guarantees on his deal are what worry me.

The budgets for assistants/support staff/facilities I love because it can only benefit us in the long run. Hopefully those remain even if Jimbo turns us down

I know. But getting that out there publicly lights more of a fire on the other side to rally and match. It gets boosters moving. It’s EXACTLY what Herman’s agent did to Texas last year.

He will. He’s grooming for it. I’ve known him a long time and he’s a perfect fit.

Woodward is happy living in Texas. LSU may be a retirement gig for him later though

Would be pretty funny to see him do well there while we're stuck with O and Alleva.
