Who would you trust to hire the best replacement for Aranda when the time comes?
If I am Alleva, this has to be a key consideration and why I hope Herman gets the job. Seems like a pre requisite for being excited about a Jimbo hire is pairing him with Aranda. What happens to that excitement when Aranda leaves to become a HC elsewhere?

I agree. I believe Herman's style with LSU's athletes would be amazing. Make him the first choice.

Here's another question. How would it feel to hire O, Aranda takes a HC job elsewhere, Fisher follows saban at Alabama, and Herman slides in at texas A&M.
That would be the equivalent of hiring Mike Archer and passing on Steve Spurrier.
