Is the guy! He is the best option! We need to offer him what ever amount of money he wants. I guarantee you if we hire him and both narcisse and Brennan stay committed, he will turn one of them into a great college QB and possible first round NFL pick. He turned EJ Manuel and Christian ponder into first round picks, also Jamies Winston and Jamarcus Russell into number one overall. You see what he's doing now with a freshman QB? Shite, that could be Lindsey Scott next year! Long shot but possible. The guy knows and can teach QB talent. To me, he is the guy and the only guy LSU should go after

You should start several more threads about your guy...and by all means write him a blank check for his 7 losses over the past 2 years while 6 of them he was favored.

Are you serious? So his resume doesn't mean shite? And the ACC hasn't gotten better or anything. I mean Clemson and Louisville aren't any good, right? Do you expect a coach to win every game?

Please name a better candidate. Herman, who loses to Navy. Other than Saban and Urban, there's not a coach out there with a better resume

I don't. But pay attention to some of the posts that have been on the Rant for last year or two (maybe even longer than that). Several people have called Miles tenure at LSU "mediocre".

114 wins, 34 losses, 77% winning percentage. Playing in the Western Division of the SEC. Does that sound mediocre to you? Doesn't to me. But that's the mentality of some of the people that post here on the Rant.

senile old man losing his mind made that happen. Russell makes the opposite point you are trying to accomplish. Very slow development.

Jimbo's offense at LSU 2004-2006

at No. 14 Auburn L 9–10
at No. 3 Georgia L 16–45
at No. 4 Alabama W 16–13 OT
vs. No. 13 Georgia L 14–34
at No. 3 Auburn L 7–3

Jimbo has been average without Jameis Winston.

10 years ago, LSU fans were crying to get rid of Jimbo.

Not the majority of the fans. And for those that were, they realized 3 offensive coordinators later that it wasn't Jimbo but Miles interfering that was the problem.

You could say the same for Aranda at Wisconsin.

Lmao. Miles has an incredible resume too, in a much tougher conference, and I don't want him. Clemson averaged 17 over last five years recruiting. Louisville isn't in the top 25 over the last five years, nor is any other acc team.

Jimbo less on Heisman QB Jameis Winston would not even be in the picture. We already have a huge buyout for our ex coach and do not need another, his salary is going to be huge, without his Heisman QB Jimbo's coaching record would be middle of the pack at best.

Curly Hallman was hired at LSU due to the success of one great QB a future NFL all Pro that played for the Green Bay Packers Brett Farve. This is what one great QB can do for a coach

Not sold on Jimbo
Tom may head to Texas
Houston does have a good coach (but problems)
Houston's coach has kept his nose clean to this point
Coach O may get a shot, then hit a home run in hiring an OC
I want the Tigers to beat Arkansas

Agreed. We are seeing what jimbo has with only a couple good teams to compete with, despite having more talent.

FSU out talents every team in the ACC, yet loses multiple games every year.

Jimbo is no Urban or Saban.

You're not wrong, and I appreciate your enthusiasm, but he's not the end all be all for the program. Would be a fantastic hire, second only to Herman.

Then who should LSU hire? Every candidate has something you can point to as being a negative.
