Seems like a longshot that might not even work if they got him. More than 50% of running a college program is not gameplanning, it is recruiting, supervising college boys, schmoozing with boosters, giving talks etc.
There's a giant difference between working 100 plus hours a week in the NFL on game planning and practice versus 20 hours of college practice and a lot of other different responsibilities

This was all just a plot for Saban to get a pay raise.

I'm not gonna lie. I will legit melt if Sean leaves the Saints. Not even kidding.

IMO no successful coach will go to college for one reason:
Nobody will want them back. Nobody would invite Petrino back to the NFL. The NFL won't forget you left the most successful organization in sports (in all of sports) for the minor leagues.

Being a UT fan, I just hope to God they don't hire Lane Kiffin.

This just keeps getting better and better. I am starting to think UT has no idea how irrelevant they are in the college landscape. Sure they have money, but nobody cares about the Texas and their shite conference to consider leaving a successful PRO career. Hell, why not get Sean, Tomlin and both Harbaugh brothers and assemble the greatest coaching staff ever.

He would make UT's president's head explode. Those Austinites would not be able to handle the Hud.

I would quit watching football if this were to happen.

The funniest part of this thread is that UT supposedly has Sean Payton third to Tomlin and Harbaugh.

Might as well throw in the best coach in all of football, Bill Belicheck, too.
