It's obvious that Woodward has turned to new candidates in the wake of losing Riley

Three credible sources have now reported that LSU is pursuing Kelly and that the pursuit is either new or has been resumed with renewed vigor.
Let's start with Football Scoop, which outright confirms that LSU turned to Kelly after the Riley gambit failed:
LINK
Next, The Atlantic reported an "aggressive push" to retain Kelly:
LINK
Then Dellenger reported that LSU was "trying to make it happen" with Kelly.
LINK
All three report the Kelly gambit as being I'm progress, new, not a longstanding deal.
Have all three of these reporters been ensnared by yet another nefarious plot by evil and omniscient agents? Is it a mere coincidence that the push for Kelly comes on the immediate heels of Riley's departure for USC?
No.
You can delude yourselves all you wish, but it's obvious that LSU is now pivoting to other marquee prospects because it missed on Riley. Woodward may still hire a good coach, but be realistic about what is what is happening now. See reality, not childish fantasies about omnipotent AD's sitting in subterranean lairs, stroking hairless cats, and watching their master plots unfold on banks of monitors.
Let's start with Football Scoop, which outright confirms that LSU turned to Kelly after the Riley gambit failed:
quote:
The Tigers are pursuing Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly. Heady stuff happens when you're the winningest all-time coach at one of college football's truly iconic programs.
Multiple LSU and Notre Dame sources confirmed the Tigers' interest in Kelly to FootballScoop.
It's why, sources have confirmed on Monday, that University of Southern Cal first sought in recent weeks to speak with Kelly about the Trojans' vacancy. Then, USC snatched Lincoln Riley away from LSU as the Tigers had continued their pursuit of the Oklahoma-turned-USC skipper.
Multiple Notre Dame sources, as well as sources around college football and also at LSU, tell us “there's absolutely smoke” with LSU's pursuit of Kelly.

Next, The Atlantic reported an "aggressive push" to retain Kelly:
quote:
LSU is making an "aggressive push" to hire Notre Dame’s Brian Kelly as its next head coach, sources tell The Athletic. Kelly, who took over in South Bend in 2010, is the winningest coach in Fighting Irish history, has made a pair of College Football Playoff appearances and has Notre Dame in the mix again this season.
LINK
Then Dellenger reported that LSU was "trying to make it happen" with Kelly.
quote:
Sources have told Sports Illustrated that LSU has been "trying to make it happen" with Brian Kelly but offered no confirmation that Kelly has reciprocated that interest, per

OR he has someone who is still coaching for a
Conference Championship Ring.
Conference Championship Ring.

No. No way another coach sees all of these new huge contracts and decided to get himself a raise. That’s impossible! Gullible losers. I bet you were that kid on the playground with his tongue stuck to the icy pole

You are a moron. The Atlantic, Dellenger at SI, and Football Scoop are infinitely more credible than any other source quoted here.

This is what I'm holding out hope for. I think we see another week of smoke screening before getting our guy next week

Yep. We should list the peeps that have gotten paid from rumors of being the LSU coach.

So you’re saying you’re a Q follower? Christ, if it’s spoken on the internet it absolutely has to be true? It’s mathematically impossible that if enough people say the same shite, it has to be truth, right?
Breeders License pulled, you should be taxed to speak to other humans.

I don’t believe anyone has solid information from the LSU camp
So anything reported is from the coach/agent side. So take it with a grain of salt.

it’s obvious to all rational people that we swung and missed on Riley.
Kelly would still be a very good hire.

Thats literally the exact opposite of what Dellenger reports. He specifically said there is NO information from Kelly confirming - which means the info isn't coming from Kelly.

So it’s coming from agent circles or Notre Dame sources.
He said less than 24 hours ago he has no LSU scoop. And he didn’t explicitly state “LSU sources” for his tweet.

Credible is used loosely but let’s give it to them for the sake of argument.
You’re claiming we “lost Riley” when absolutely zero credible sources ever claimed we were even going after him.
