Its going to be Mullen

Mullen makes a relatively low salary at State. Florida will be a huge step up in pay. State is one of the few SEC programs that can't put up a decent fight with Florida in salary.
Meyer is reportedly going to stick around the program. It only makes sense that they plan to hire someone close to him who shares his philosophy. I can't imagine any other coach wanting Meyer looking over his shoulder.
Florida won big with Mullen as OC. They have dropped off since they lost him. He's proven he knows how to get it done there. He's also proven himself by turning State around in short order.
I think all the other names are just fluff for the most part, as its important for UF to appear to have made a wide sweep to find a "great" coach.
Mullen is the man, and Meyer probably already knew this before he stepped down.

It wont be about money. Mullen makes what he does because he had no head coaching experience when he was hired. And he was told all along when he made a bowl game he would be taken care of.
State can pay him at least 3 million. And could go to 4 if they had to. But it just comes down to the job.
Fla is a top 3 job in college football- State isnt. If offered, you have to take it.
I just dont think he will be offered- he and Foley arent the best of friends so I hear. Not to mention there is Stoops and a couple of other guys deserving of a look as well .
State can pay him at least 3 million. And could go to 4 if they had to. But it just comes down to the job.

Stoops will be contacted first. It's sort of like a respect thing between Foley and Stoops. They're very tight so to speak. However, there's a ton of smoke around Petrino on almost every insider board. Foley likes Mullen as well, so I don't know where you're getting the info about Foley not caring for Mullen.

Yall have the smallest athletic budget in the SEC. There is no way yall can pay 3 million. And 4 is almost laughable. Before you flame we cant afford that either

We have new TV money coming in just like ya'll do- and we had a booster leave 30+ million for things like this...donations are at an all-time high...and we have been selling out the stadium every home game
Hell, we paid Crooms 2.1 million 2 years ago- Mullen's salary wasnt set at 1.2 million because that was all we could afford- it was based on experience

We pay Hootie 2.2 mill. But that doesnt mean we can afford to pay him more

Mullen already has a verbal agreement to get his pay in the 2.2-2.5 range for next season. I can assure you we could up that if we had to. I'm not telling you what I think, I'm telling you what I know.

I think Meyer has AT LEAST a decent idea of where Foley's mind is.

Florida will pay him 3.3 a year. And he is already familiar with the area for recruiting. You really cant blame him for going
