It would be interesting to see what type of staff DeBoer could assemble at Bama

Just perusing his Washington staff, a few things stand out.

- Most have been with him for awhile, through multiple stops.

- There is VERY LITTLE "Southern experience" on that staff. There is none among the coordinators and among the position coaches, it's a year or two at a Sun Belt school here or there.

-The only SEC experience I found was the tight end coach who was a GA at Tennessee for 2 years and the defensive line coach held the same position at Vanderbilt for a year.

Southern experience is overrated as far as scheme goes

It only matters for recruiting relationships

I agree, don't think it matters at all as far as X's and O's.

It will be huge in both recruiting and retaining current players to the roster though.

Would be a bad choice because of this.

Has only been a D1 head coach for 4 years, also seems to have a relatively small circle.

Hard to see him not bringing most of these guys as they've been with him a while, maybe the coordinators get a look to replace him?
