What has Riley done to convince everyone that he's so much better than Aranda? Besides beat up on charmin soft defenses in the Big12? Aranda beat him in year 2 with much less talent and has already proven himself in the big boy conference.

What has a Aranda done that Campbell hasn't done for much longer? Campbell turned two programs around while Aranda is still working on turning one program around

I could talk myself into Aranda as the best hire. He comes across as the smartest guy in football. We have a changing game, both on the field and off with NIL and Title IX being applied through the filter of wokism. It's not written in stone that the smartest guy in the room would necessarily be the best at navigating this changing landscape but it reminds me of an old quote I've always loved. "The race is not always to the swift nor the battle to the strong. But bet that way."
