Nobody knows who will land where, and top coaches think they will win anywhere regardless, but could the Herman narrative change if Texas is as awful as they look today? Could a rebuild at TX look too daunting vs the cupboard of players/recruits at LSU?

This is what I'm hoping. That defense is so damn soft it's gonna take a while for the next coach to change them.

I've gone from hoping TX will go on a tear to hoping Gundy hangs 70 in them.

How many examples do we need to show that this is patently false? I mean Gery Freaking DiNardo took over an LSU program after 6 straight losing seasons and went 10-2 in his 2nd year.

Only if the coach is a puss!!! Great coaches want resources, leadership, and money!!! If I have a coach who is scared of the rebuilding part.... He needs to be eliminated from the candidates period

Same problem ATM faces even with the now sell of SEC membership..

Texas(the state) is full of 7-on-7 camp finesse softness, it's a disease..

Sumlin brought in Chavis to try fix it..we shall see?

Outside of a few Okla and Horn squads, and maybe that really good Mangino/Talib Kansas BCS bowl team, 1997-1998 K St, 2000-2004 OU were the last that I can think of?

RC's Wrecking Crews were the last consistent yearly squads I recall with an SEC or Big10 physicality and nasty nature?

when strong got to Texas they were god awful and really UT boosters are very demanding. To me with the state of the program he should be given 5 years to truly judge but I look for him to be fired this year and when he is fired any hopes we had for Herman are completely gone.
