Everyone keeps saying a deal is in place for him to come back but LSU doesn’t have an open spot on the staff yet. Apparently Tommy Robinson is heading to the NFL but the “insiders” have been saying that for three years now and ol’TRob is still on staff.

I think if we make it through the next few days without him taking a job somewhere, it's a sure sign.

LSU's problem will be timing. Ole Miss will go after him or others who can hire him right away.
So if he doesn't have a job in the next couple of weeks, then I would bet on LSU.
Though I do wish, if we do have a plan to bring him on, we would hire him as an analyst and then move him into a coach once the spot opens.

Frank and I have some pretty good mutual friends from back in his St. Aug days. I see these guy once or twice a week in the neighborhood or at the park with their kids, etc. The word in that circle is that Frank will be back pretty much as soon as the season is over. Tommy is getting interest from the NFL again so he'll likely leave and Frank will become RB/Recruiting Coordinator/Assoc.HC or something to that effect to get him some real money.

They might do that but those guys get paid peanuts and Frank may not want to do that unless he knows he's going to be on staff 100%. Things happen and LSU has waaaay more things to worry about that potentially filling staff spots right now. Signing day is a week away and the playoff game is 2-1/2 weeks away. Frank has had contact with O. I know that much.

What position is he gonna coach? OM already hired a RB coach. Doubt he goes there unless it's as OC and don't see that happening either.
