re: Is it just me or do the Frank rumors just not add up?

The rant is ready to run him out of town with pitchforks. Fascinating turn on a dime

I’m surprised by people not considering the possibility that Frank can actually land 5 stars, and they may make their own decision based on his position on staff….or the possibility THEY may be using the situation as leverage.
It’s a really shitty look for LSU fans to be running Frank out of town based on a rumor, or even partial truth. Recruiting always has surprises. Coaches, and players for that matter, use every bit of leverage they possibly can - this fan base has made plenty of excuses for any of this behavior when it goes their way. Kiffin should have the autonomy to fill his staff that gives us the greatest chance to win. And Frank has shown enough loyalty to LSU to be given support until he is no longer on staff. I do think it comes across as a little ungrateful to turn on him so quickly, it just isn’t necessary and makes the staffs job more difficult to have unnecessary division

Does it not make more sense that these recruits are just more likely waiting for the staff to finalize itself while leveraging better deals for themselves? Or am I thinking too critically about this?
Should have just answered your questions. But you are at least correct to not just make destructive assumptions when there is an easier explanation

Also, our head coach just sabotaged his prior employer
He didn’t though, he tried to make a transition as seamless as possible, his former employer sabotaged themselves

I don't buy it
Supposedly these kids have agents now
You are telling me an agent is doing anything other than maximizing his clients value?
No way they are playing games for Wilson.
Plus I don't think he would do it

So you think legitimate insiders on other paid sites are just getting together to make up this conspiracy and that none of the reputable reporters on that site are denying or taking those posts down?
Where do you think they get their information from, and do you think that source has an agenda? And could that information they are providing be biased?
The rumors of him steering recruits is not a simple two sided story.
This is yet another example of LSU fans taking something they read on the internet as fact.

What you are suggesting is inherently impossible.

You ain't paid to be loyal, you paid to get the best player to play and coach em up something he hasn't done as of late been saying that for 2 yrs,
Posted on 12/3/25 at 7:21 am to OceanMan
Who do you think they get that info from and why would that person be spreading lies to turn a whole fan base against Frank Wilson?

I’m suggesting you not skip over the part where you ask yourself those questions.
And there is a difference between a lie and an unsubstantiated rumor.

Yea…that doesn’t add up. It would make more sense to be about Baker possibly taking job at Tulane or just media pushing stupid narrative to get more clicks or intentionally hurt LSU.

Add in that he makes nearly every running back he has coached regress and you wonder why a coach would not want to keep him?
You people have no idea what you are talking about. You don’t just make running backs regress. You either have it or you don’t. It’s the position coaching matters the least. Which is why it’s normally filled with recruiters.
Anybody can teach fumbling drills
Make sure the guys know the playbook
Most running back drills are the same.
Production will come from the oline and the running backs talent will maximize what the oline gives them.
Now rb recruiting/evaluation is a different story. We’ve missed on some guys and believe we need a physical presence at that position. Not sure if us missing guys is because of NIL or just misses from the staff.

There are many rumors that are true but will never be publicly confirmed. I’ve read pretty definitive things said by people that I think know what’s going on. If you don’t want to believe it, that’s fine as well.
Posted on 12/3/25 at 8:14 am to MrWalkingMan
They don’t add up. Nothing in his past suggests he could even do anything like that.

Definitely doesn't add up. His future is uncertain and recruits know that. That rumor is nonsense
