In what world does it make sense to drag this out just to stay? It would make more sense to announce it after the game instead of waiting until tomorrow.

His stock will never be higher. He could easily lose some games next couple years

We also know there are a bunch of emotional pussies on this board as well that panic over every little thing and it’s annoying.

This Ole Miss season is equal to Tulane’s season. And if they sniff the playoffs, he is one and out. He coming.

If he were staying, why would he not sign the extension at half during the Florida game to spark the team?

I seriously doubt he announces anything today. Someone may leak something, but I can’t see an announcement.

What would likely happen, Lane meets with OM tomorrow morning and gives his decision. If he decides to leave, they make a decision on wither he can coach the post-season or not (I doubt they allow it). At that point, they likely call a team meeting. That’s when youlllikely hear the rumors and the dam will break.

If he decides to stay, the dam will likely break as soon as that meeting with OM officials concludes. Either way, we likely know something by the end of tomorrow.

When he does leave and Ole Miss gets killed in the playoffs, he'll look even better.

b/c he will have accomplished something no other coach at Ole Miss has ever done... getting to the playoffs... but he also realizes that they have no chance of winning, so it's easier to kinda go out as a winner, resting on that accomplishment and then riding off...

kinda like, ok, i was able to get you there, but now it's y'alls turn to sink or swim, while he goes on to his next thing...

He's not leaving this year. He is for next year. That's how.

It's not a team decision. It's a program decision. OM isn't LSU. The entire country knows that, but the sticking point is this year's OM team. Verge is on record saying they would wait until after playoffs. It would be OM removing him from this year's team, not LSU forcing his hand.

Why the need to start yet another thread to share your thoughts….we get it there are those that don’t believe he will leave.

Right, he was just messing around all this time, sending his family jetting around the country just for the hell of it. Or maybe you think he believed they’d lose today. Either way, you’re an idiot.

frick Lane Kiffin. If he’s offered 13M per and knows what he can accomplish at LSU and is still “undecided” until the last minute, he can go frick himself.

Better if he doesn’t come here.

Zero chance Lane comes to LSU. The bottom line is we aren’t a top 10 program.

Speaking in absolutes, amazing!

So what are Ole Miss chances of keeping him since they aren’t a top 10 program?
