If he wins today, I don’t think there’s any chance it’s him

There’s only handful of coaches that would be a bigger get. Not sure who could be bigger that we could realistically get other than Urban who I don’t want personally.

$38MM buyout for starters. He’s getting up in age, it’s not like he’s be here long term. 5-6 years of having him vs the amount we’d have to spend doesn’t make sense.

He’s 70. I really don’t see him coaching at 80yrs old.

Lateral move going back to Baton Rouge
The lack of self-awareness it takes to make this statement on this website is pretty astounding actually.

he doesn’t care about challenges or legacy.
He probably does care about legacy, that’s why he would not leave. At his age, why give up three years of possible championships while he installs his culture at another school? His legacy is number of titles, and his best chance at increasing that is staying where he is.

Been with Saban since day one and I hope I'm right, 100% agree with every point you made plus LR white whale ? He hasn't one a NC and seems like M Archer pick. I don't know but I do know Saban is a Greater than a White Whale !

I think it’s been a total misdirection and that Woodward has someone else committed. He’s done that to keep attention away from his real target.

Alabama is a better job and there is no reason he would leave that to move to a job at a lesser program.

Our job was open again just 4 or 5 years ago, but Saban showed no interest whatsoever.
Oh, and bump.

LSU was in good shape and Alabama was really struggling when Saban went there. Saban returned Alabama to national relevance by going there. LSU would have had at least a couple more NC's over that course if he was still in the NFL.
