I'm officially on the Del Rio bandwagon...

I didn't no much about him until I looked on wikipedia...
Sounds like a big defensive guy. Add him, keep Crowton, and add Tenuta.

Sounds great, but I doubt we get him. However, we will probably have a shot at Spurrier. IF he turns it down, then we'll probably be stuck hiring a little known up and comer while our biggest competition in the west has a big name coach. (Saban, Tuberville, Nutt, TBD @ arky)

He would be a great college coach IMO, but like I've said before I just dont' see how the timing will work out.

I am good with that selection. There are no guarantees but we could do worse.
If he can recruit, I think he can. (All the players mommas would love him) and get a good staff, we could be dangerous

Coaching in the NFL is easy compared to college. Just ask Saban and Spurrier.
Yes a proven NFL HC would be considered a good choice even without college experience.

Or Walsh and Weis. Just b/c you're worth a shite in the NFL (and Del Rio hasn't been that good in the NFL) doesn't necessarily mean you'll be good in college.

The name of the game is getting players. So even if Del Rio is a superior X and O guy (and again, this would be a dubious assertion), it doesn't mean he'll be a good recruiter. Or that he'll work well with young kids.
I'm not saying he's a bad choice. I'm just curious as to why everyone thinks he's such a slam dunk.
