I agree with Unlucky Tiger. This Ole Miss team isn’t good enough to win a natty IMO.

Close wins at home to South Carolina, UF, LSU, Wazzu…lotta bad there.

Best win is road win at OU.

Exactly. Nobody should be surprised when he does it again if someone like Bama comes calling. Though tbh, not sure he'd even want to go to Bama. I don't think Texas or Bama would be interested in him.

They should've beat Georgia as well though. That game was on Lane as in trademark fashion he overthinks it and loses it for them.

All the terrible BK stuff alongside Les game time management issues Lane is going to drive LSU fans through the roof with game like that.

Remember how badly LSU was outplayed against Ole Miss last year and they still find a way to beat them?

They haven't been dominant that's for sure. However, I still like their chances against any single team. Not saying they'd be favored whatsoever, but they have a real shot at defeating any team this year.

Ole Miss has only played three tough opponents this year and that's if I include LSU as a tough opponent. In the other tough games they lost to Georgia and beat Oklahoma. Brian Kelly might still be our coach with that schedule.

Meh, Ole Miss jumped out early but then got shoved in a locker by GA in the 4th qtr. Completely dominated.

Why did you include the 2nd best Louisiana team and not the best?

I dont blame the players, but OM fans and admin should know who Kiffin is by now. Its the deal with the devil you make when you hire him. LSU should be aware of this too...

I think he has the best chance of anybody to win a title here, but im under no illusion that he wouldnt leave us at any time he gets the whim.

LSU fans would riot over the OM 2024 season. 2nd most talented team in the county and missed the playoffs with losses to Kentucky, Florida, and LSU...

I told them that the first thing I said to them when they hired him was that he was going to bolt at some point and leave them pissed. I don’t know why they’re acting so surprised.

He may leave, but I fail to see how Kiffin has a reputation as a serial job hopper. He was fired as the Okland HC. He was fired as the USC HC. He left Alabama for a HC job. Which most would find totally rational. He left FAU after 3 seasons for an SEC job. Again, I don't think anyone we find that to be irrational. He's been at Ole Miss for 6 years now.

The ONLY instance of him leaving abruptly was going from Tennessee to USC after just one season. But even that wasn't unreasonable. I don't think anyone would argue that at that time USC was seen as the better job than Tennessee. Particularly in light of the fact he spent 6 years on staff there.

I can see both sides of this. It’s a business decision by Lane and at the same time these players do not have to be best buddies with Lane Kiffin. They all have a job to do and who cares if they are bonding or not?

Uh huh. Lane told them to say that. Its all planned for the least problematic solution.
They act like they are all OM, to keep the players dialed in. If all coaches were thought to be leaving...True mutiny would occur

That and the money is my beef with him. If he were to ditch his players while they have something to play for....or by ditching ruins their shot at the playoff, then he is nothing more than a whore.....and LSU is the whoremonger.

Tell your Senior that it's EPB season and that he needs to stop worrying so much about OM football and worry more about EFDP panels.

he's interested in staying at ole miss, why risk nuking your season?

Yep. And he had unified the fanbase. Even if it’s a ploy to “screw over rivals” he’s still alienated at least half the fanbase even if he stays.

Then every time a big job opens they are going to be fans pissed at him for his name even being mentioned.

People forget that there was even a contingency of (idiot) LSU fans that basically wanted Saban to leave because they we tired of hearing him being linked to potential new jobs.

With the new social media/internet you can probably times that by 100 for Ole Miss fans if Kiffin stays.

Again if the team was mad at Lane it would be all over social media not some back channel story
