you'd probably end up making the title game at ND at 12-0 as opposed to cincy

Because one just went 12-0 and got left out of the national title game.

More respect and national attention.

Hell, he's had more publicity in the two weeks before he was hired than he ever did at Cincy.

because at ND if he plays with USC for one half, he'll likely get an extension worth more than that before the start of the 4th quarter

Why?

Hell, I'm almost 30, and I don't recall Notre Dame being anything noteworthy.

The movie "Rudy" shaped my opinions of ND more than anything they did on the football field in my lifetime.

True, but they have more money in the athletic department than anyone else, their own TV contract, and have ESPN as their personal publicity and recruiting machine. And Cincy has....????

Its not just about what you get paid. Its about what the school can afford to spend on assistants, facilities, etc. etc.

Notre Dame needs to join the Big East, easier road than through Big 11. They are already there for basketball. I'm sure the Big East would let them keep the NBC deal which the Big 11 would never let them do.

In all fairness, this can't be a seriously asked question.

ND has a great tradition and a national TV contract it doesn't have to share, plus special privileges in the B(C)S.

The Big Least is a glorified mid-major that nobody takes seriously. But I think Cincy could restore its credibility by throwing $7M a year at $$$$$$$$aban and luring him away from Tuscaloser. That's what they should do, anyway.

I really want to agree with you but I am finding it hard. Not because Notre Dame isn't what it used to be but because Cincinnati is well Cincinnati.

If the question was: If you're being paid the same at both schools...
...why is ND a better job than (LSU, Miami, Nebraska, any Sec school, most Big 10 and Big12 schools, then I would agree with you.)

I get what you are saying though, Notre Dame really isn't shite anymore and has pretty much turned into a coaching grave yard.
