People are tired of Moffitt. They want some new blood in the program.

Is that a serious question? At the end of Miles tenure we had the same problems we have now. They lacked S&C and it was painfully obvious. Our Oline looks like the most out of shape line ever. We're injury galore. This is not a one time occurrence. It pops up regularly. We have a good year then it ends up a few years like this. I remember he got sick under Miles one year and you could see a huge decline in our S&C. Past that point he has a lot of "down" years with S&C. It's time for him to go and start over.

It's hard to pinpoint if it's him or something Orgeron is doing like discipline in the program. You can't make players attend the workouts and maybe O is not disciplining that. It seems to happen for several years when a coach is getting the ax. So is it S&C coach? Who knows but at this point since it has happened in 2 tenures that's no longer a coincidence. Time to go.

No. Bama fans wanted him gone b/c of so many players getting injured before the season

Yeah and it clearly cost them.

He left with Kirby because he was promised an on-field position. That's what his goal is. He's not coming back to LSU to be the strength and conditioning coach.

Plus he had to step away from the job for "personal reasons". So he's not a hot commodity right now.

Sounds like his goal is less achievable and he may be willing to take a S&C jo with 20 years of job security at his Alma Mater

yea it is because you dont know shite

no shite it also came at the same time that Miles start lacking on discpline and he started recruiting almost exclusively overweight guards

So the guy that has 3 NCs here, played for another here, has an NC at UT and Miami suddenly forgot S&C in 2 years since helping to assemble and coach the greatest CFB team ever?

or fricking maybe we have a discpline problem and an accountablility problem. The inuries are stemming from the crazy amount of hitting we are suddenly doign in practice. O ramped up the hitting to Hallman levels. He isnt holding the players accountable

I have no problem getting rid of Moffit. That should be the new coaches call though.

but here is the deal you get rid of him for one of two reasons

1) You think his message has gone stale and you want to go younger. No problem with that

2) you want to go in a different direction in the way programming is done. Moffit is a hatch disciple as is Cochran as is Aaron Feld. You go this route if you want to move to a conjugate style of training that doesnt rely on the olympic lifts(althouhg Tommy has brought more and more of that into his programming)

if its not for those two things then it is dumb to make a change. I get people want new blood and I am ok with that, but the last person we need is fricking scott cochran who cant hold Tommys jock strap. Its no coincidence Alabama has gotten faster and had better results since he left. Dude is a douche and has a reputation for soft tissue injuries specifically in the shoulder joints.

most of you cant spell strength and conditioning and have no clue what goes into it. I have no problem moving on from moffit but dont say its because our lineman are fat......that is an accountability problem. DO you think suddenly our staff nutritionist forgot how to program macros? or suddenly tommy forgot how to program to get guys stronger? NO, he have a culture problem, a huge one. Guys eat what they want, they miss training when they want and there are no consequences.

im fine going to Aaron Feld or even Aaron Ausmus or plenty of others, just not scott cochran. But dotn think if we stay with someone from that tree we are suddenly going to be changing programming, cause we wont be.

why should the new coach give a frick what the fans want when it comes to S&C? especially when 50% of the fan base is obese and hasnt seen the inside of a gym in over 20 years if ever and doesnt have a clue on how to program?

we have people like deuce985 that are calling for moffits head when he doesnt have a clue on programming. We have guys suggesting Scott Cochran with no clue on the system he runs, same with Aaron Feld.

im not moffits biggest fan by any means and there are some thing I dont always agree with that he does, but remember he is serving at the behest of the HC who gives the direction and has to be the ones holding players accountable.
