Listening to Sirius college radio all week as was traveling a lot. I listen to they guys a lot, and actually gotten to be friends with a few them, and a lot of them do college football all year and know thier shite. Here is what they were saying this week.

Houston is not getting into Big 12, not even close.

IF Herman leaves it will be this year.

He will Likely take LSU job over Texas. Just likes it better and will not want to deal with circus in Austin.

His dream job may actually be USC. Has always wanted USC job.

If he leaves Houston, and they think he proabably will as he will never be hotter, will be to USC or LSU.

If USC fired Helton after one year, USC is more of a circus than Texas is. That'll be like their 5th hea coach in 5 years

Did somebody write a psychological profile on him as a Graduate Thesis or something?

Like WHAT THE frick.

None of this shite is likely true in any way.

More of a circus than LSU? The school that created a media firestorm around their GOAT coach's "firing" only to retain him? Then fire him four games into the next season?

Normally I would agree, but they have a different AD since he was hired.

And the wish list grows more
1. Texas to win
2. USC to win
3. Houston gets no 12 invite
4. Hermans wife to cut him off until he moves her to BR

I disagree. I watched their game against Utah and they look awful. If there aren't any signs of progress the rest of the season there is no reason to keep Helton

One more item to the list:
5. UH to lose 1 game

Lynn Swann is the new AD. He's not qualified to be AD. Only USC would have hired him. Firing a coach after only one season would be a HUGE move for an experienced & respected AD with a track record of success. Plus, I don't see him as the type to be that ruthless. He'll sit down with Helton at the end of the year & convey his expectations moving forward, but he's not going to fire him.

Sorry but I don't agree with any of that. I've heard from some very reliable people that he wants the Texas job. Strong has a brutal schedule ahead of him and will likely be gone.

Texas plays Oklahoma next week. He loses that game, and he'll likely be gone. The big-$ Texas brokers know they need to make a move soon if they want to corner Herman.

You mean they just need to make a move?

If Texas wants Herman, he is theirs.
