I liked the idea of LSU hiring Napier but what you’re predicting depends on who gets hired. There are more experienced coaches put there. Consider that Napier may be a better recruiter than Mullen but he isn’t a better offensive play caller.

Napier with Florida’s resources and a chip on his shoulder after getting “passed up” will be hell for years to come especially recruiting

Resources. We paid 20+m to get rid of O and assistants, then willing to pay 10-15 m/yr for a new HBC. You don’t take a chance on USL’s coach after firing O mid season. He wasn’t passed up, he didn’t have the resume for the job.

Even Kirby with all his 5 stars has had a rough time winning with " the process" because his offense sucks.

If Napier is still calling the plays he won't last at Florida they almost care more about being entertained then going to the sec title game and losing

I don’t know why people think he’s just a for sure hit at the next level. Get off that guys sack already unless you’re a Florida fan

Yea and Mullen was going to build a dynasty there, I mean look at what he did with less talent as State.

Maybe, maybe not. I still think Florida is the one who actually panicked and made a rush hire.
Or maybe they liked him (Napier) so much that they didn't feel a need to interview anybody else.

I don't think it was an Alleva-Herman-Orgeron type situation where the AD was just flat out incompetent and lazy........

Just like serious trouble with Bama, AU, OM, TAMU - and whoever else - this is the SEC - there is a arse kicking waiting on every corner.

UF hasn’t been relevant since Tebow left. That was a long time ago.

LSU and Florida likely won’t see head to head match ups yearly after Oklahoma and Texas join the SEC. And who cares, honestly.

Yet he was immediately hired by a comparable, arguably better, program.

Either UF is dumb, or LSU's hiring standards are unrealistic.
