Ensminger is not currently named in a sexual assault suit.
Neither am I but I shouldn't be the OC either.

You could say anyone at any level of the staff or admin at Baylor were "possibly" complicit. The three i named actually made the mistakes they were accused of and they all have jobs.
The mistakes they made at least seem human. The stuff that Briles was associated with make him seem like a possible monster. It doesn't matter that others were possibly complicit. He was one of the faces in charge there. This thing will follow him forever. He will never get away from it. I'm not even trying to start to give a personal opinion on it. This is just the way the general public views it. The idea of rape hits people a certain way.

You're talking about Art right?

Kendall is not 'that man'.
And what happened at Duke under Alleva had nothing to do with Joe, I feel ya. Not.

Your logic will not defeat the short sighted mob mentality of this board, even though you are 100% correct.
Next, try to explain to them that Briles isn't even a guaranteed homerun hire. He has yet to prove he can run an offense under a non offensive HC.
The mob has decided KB is the BEST offensive coordinator LSU could ever have so they crucify anyone who presents evidence to the contrary.

I would be okay with Ensminger if it states in his contract that the first game LSU looses both he and O would be fired for cause and not have to pay any buyouts

AND yet one didn't do anything.
You don't know if he did anything or not. Not being charged with a crime doesn't mean he didn't do anything. He's also in the middle of a pending lawsuit. Alleva, also, wasn't charged with a crime (nor was he even fired), so using your "logic" he didn't do anything either. Alleva is just a pussy. Just like we deal with compliance like nazis, he was the same way at Duke. He was so scared of a scandal that he took swift action against the lacrosse team and their coach without doing enough research first. However, the DA in Durham was zealously prosecuting the players, so it's not like Alleva's actions were completely without reason, and the DA was disbarred as a result.

I'll cut them more slack than that. If they don't win at least 11 games next year, O gets fired, Steve goes back to TE coach.

Tell me what team he was OC for where he was calling all the shots on offense. This is an important factor because with O, whoever our OC is, they will need to be able to hanlde all of the offense on their own. I haven't seen KB do this yet.

I don't get why people on here can't wrap their mind around the fact that Kendall was more than likely neck deep in the rape culture at Baylor. He was a high ranking member of the coaching staff and also the head coaches SON. The head coaches actual son was oblivious to it all? Gtfo lol

The entire idea of the criminal justice system is that it's better to potentially let guilty people go free than to punish an innocent person. In a way railroading innocent kids and a coach you are the boss of without waiting for facts is worse than what Kendal may have done.
I give Alleva somewhat of a break on this because the DA was trying to hang these kids and was falsifying evidence. Alleva didn't have much of a choice given what he knew. I think had the DA done his due diligence instead of trying to make a name for himself, Alleva doesn't take the actions he did. But when you have multiple student athletes charged with forcible rape, there aren't a whole hell of a lot of options for an AD. Alleva wasn't even fired from Duke.

It had more to do with the District Attorneys Office than it did Joe Alleva. If it didn't, Alleva would be unemployable and would have been fired by Duke, which he isn't and wasn't.

Too many of our fans are so consumed by their hate of Orgeron and Alleva that they are blinded by reality.

I'm editing my post from yesterday because it was unduly harsh, used, caps, etc. I'm sorry.
My point was, I'm not advocating for Briles. I certainly don't believe that the bar should be "well he hasn't been convicted of a crime yet, so no one should object to the hire." My point is TBL and other guys that are alleged insiders said O wanted Ensminger and there was not much they could do. I say nonsense. If O asks for that, he's breaching the agreement he made and the administration sold to people to placate their concerns about O.
Anyway, here's hoping the administration can find it within itself to do the right thing.

the administration is responsible for paying the salaries of the coaches. of course they have the power to veto hires. it's always so black and white with you people. Briles is not the only person in the country that knows how to coach offense. It's as if y'all find out one hire won't work and think because that hire won't work we just don't care about winning.

They won't block Ensminger because he doesn't gangrape people.
